The DWCC was formed in 2012 by a small group of women who served on the Cayuga County Democratic Committee. Our purpose was and is to increase the involvement of women in politics at all levels by promoting: membership on the Cayuga County Democratic Committee; participation in campaign training to support local, state, and national campaigns; running for political office; and, networking with women to support democratic ideals and achieve parity in representation at all levels of government.
